Innaloo’s most common towing jobs
Shopping is the big one. Westfield Innaloo, the Megacentre and IKEA bring thousands of cars a day, and shopping centre car parks are where batteries give up, keys get locked in and starters fail. Event Cinemas across Scarborough Beach Road adds late night calls from people whose car won’t start after the last session.
Being right beside the Mitchell Freeway, Innaloo also gets freeway breakdowns, particularly around the Karrinyup Road and Scarborough Beach Road ramps. Scarborough Beach Road itself is a busy arterial with several sets of lights, and rear-end crashes there are common. Those go through our accident towing service, with insurer billing.
The residential streets in the north and west of the suburb mostly need ordinary breakdown towing, often for older cars that have finally had enough.
How Innaloo connects
Innaloo is boxed in by main roads: Karrinyup Road to the north, Huntriss Road to the west, Scarborough Beach Road to the south and the Mitchell Freeway to the east. Ellen Stirling Boulevard links the shopping precinct with Stirling station, and Odin Road is one of the main streets through the residential side.
Doubleview is just across Huntriss Road, while Osborne Park and its workshops sit on the far side of the freeway. Karrinyup is a short trip north via Karrinyup Road.
Car trouble in Innaloo? Here’s the drill
- In a car park, note the section, level and nearest shop or entrance.
- On the freeway, move left, hazards on, and wait behind the barrier.
- On Scarborough Beach Road, turn off before the car stops if you can.
- Tell us where the car should go, whether that’s home, a workshop or a repairer.
Shopping, cinema or freeway, the number is the same: 0419 857 070.
