When it can’t wait
Some tows can be booked for tomorrow. Others can’t. A car stopped in a live lane on the Kwinana Freeway, a crash at a busy intersection, a car that has died in a tunnel or a work ute that won’t start with a crew waiting on it all need a truck now.
That is what our emergency line is for. Ring 0419 857 070 at any hour and a real person answers. We take your location, check which of our trucks is closest and send it straight to you.
Our crash towing authorisation
Quik Tow & Transport is a WA Department of Transport authorised crash towing business, authorisation #810. Since 1 July 2026, only authorised businesses can tow a crashed vehicle in Perth, and the charges for a crash tow are set by regulation. You can check the regulated crash towing charges on this page, so you know what to expect before you agree to anything at the scene.
Stay safe until we arrive
- Turn on your hazard lights and, if the car can move, get it as far off the road as you safely can.
- On a freeway or highway, get out on the side away from traffic and wait behind the barrier.
- If you feel unsafe in a quiet spot at night, lock the doors and stay inside until our truck pulls up.
- Take photos of any crash damage and swap details with the other driver while you wait.
Tell us these four things
- Where you are. A street address, freeway exit, landmark or a map pin sent by text all work.
- What you drive, and whether it is an auto, manual, AWD or electric.
- What happened: crash damage, won’t start, overheated, flat with no spare.
- Where the car needs to go: home, your mechanic, a repairer or your insurer’s yard.
Insurance, sorted at the roadside
After a crash, give us your insurer and claim number if you have one. We bill your insurer directly for covered claims and can take the car to their assessing yard or your chosen repairer. For a breakdown, you get a clear price on the phone first, backed by our best rates guarantee.
Anywhere in Perth
Our trucks cover every suburb, from Yanchep in the north to Baldivis and Byford in the south, and from the coast out to Mundaring. See the suburbs we cover or read about accident towing in more detail.

WA authorised crash towing business #810
Accident tow costs are regulated by law
Since the Towing Services Act 2024, only businesses authorised by the WA Department of Transport can tow crashed vehicles, and the charges are capped. Quik Tow & Transport is authorised crash towing business #810. These are the most anyone can charge to tow a crashed car in Perth and Peel (from 1 July 2026):
| Crashed car or light vehicle | Maximum |
|---|---|
| Crash tow (first 50 km) | $523 |
| Each extra km after 50 km | $4.75 |
| After-hours surcharge | $149 |
| Storage, per day | $27 |
| Admin fee (one-off) | $95 |
| Motorcycle storage, per day | $13.50 |
| Motorcycle admin fee (one-off) | $95 |
What the tow charge covers: preparing, loading, transporting and unloading the crashed vehicle, clearing crash debris, and the photos, phone calls and paperwork, for the first 50 km.
What's not capped: extra recovery work where the car is hard to reach or load, such as winching it out of a ditch, is charged at a reasonable rate. We'll tell you before we start.
Authority to Tow: before we move a crashed car, you sign an Authority to Tow form that lists the towing and storage costs and where the car is going. You keep a copy.
Insured? For covered claims we bill your insurer directly, so you usually pay nothing on the day.
