Towing in Joondalup: what we’re usually called out for
Joondalup is the business and shopping hub of Perth’s northern suburbs, so a lot of our work here starts in a car park. Flat batteries, failed starter motors and cars that won’t come out of park are common at Lakeside Joondalup, around the train station and in the hospital and university car parks. Students at ECU’s Joondalup campus tend to drive older cars, and we see our share of overheating and gearbox failures at the end of a long semester.
The Mitchell Freeway is the other big source of jobs. Morning and afternoon peak traffic between Hodges Drive and Burns Beach Road means sudden stops, and that means rear-end crashes. Those are accident towing jobs where we’ll usually bill your insurer directly so you don’t have to pay upfront.
Roads and places we cover around Joondalup
The city centre sits between the freeway and Lake Joondalup, with Joondalup Drive, Shenton Avenue and Grand Boulevard carrying most of the local traffic. Joondalup Drive is busy enough that it’s on our list of crash-prone roads. To the west, Ocean Reef Road runs out towards Ocean Reef and the coast. To the north and east, Moore Drive links through to Currambine and Edgewater.
We also cover the quieter residential streets of Joondalup’s older pockets and the newer apartment blocks near the city centre, where low-clearance basements sometimes call for a careful tilt tray recovery.
If you’re stuck in Joondalup right now
- If you’re on the freeway, stay with your hazard lights on and get behind the barrier if you can.
- In a car park, note the level, row or nearest shop so we can find you fast.
- If you’ve had an accident, take photos and swap details with the other driver before the car is moved. Grab your insurer’s claim number if you have it.
