Towing in Kinross: common callouts
Kinross was built in the early 1990s, and many of the cars here belong to young families doing daily runs to school and work. That means our jobs are often about the family car failing at a bad time: in the school drop-off zone on Kinross Drive, at the shopping centre, or in the driveway before work. We handle those as straightforward breakdown tows and get the car to your mechanic.
The freeway brings the other half of our work. The Mitchell Freeway now runs north past Kinross, and the long, fast stretch here can turn a minor mechanical problem into a dangerous one. Crashes near the Burns Beach Road interchange are also something we deal with, usually billed straight to your insurer.
Roads and places we cover around Kinross
Burns Beach Road forms the southern boundary, separating Kinross from Currambine. Marmion Avenue is the western edge, with Burns Beach and Iluka beyond it. To the north, Kinross runs up against Tamala Park, which is mostly bushland and the regional landfill rather than homes. Neerabup National Park and the Mitchell Freeway sit on the eastern side.
Connolly Drive carries most traffic through the middle of the suburb, and the schools are clustered along Kinross Drive and Callander Avenue. Many street names here have a Scottish flavour, so spelling out names like Coatbridge or Roxburgh over the phone is worth the extra second.
Broken down in Kinross?
- On the freeway, keep left, put your hazards on and stay behind the barrier.
- Near the schools, mention if the car is sitting in a drop-off zone so the driver can plan around school traffic.
- Spell out your street name if it’s one of the Scottish ones.
- Let us know whether you’d like the car dropped home, at a workshop, or with your insurer’s repairer.
