Shipping container transport across Perth

Shipping containers have become the go-to answer for storage across Perth. Homeowners use them while they renovate or downsize. Builders use them as lockable site storage. Farmers and hobby farmers use them as sheds for feed, tools and machinery. Businesses keep them in the yard for stock and equipment overflow.

That means containers need moving at all stages of their life. We collect newly bought containers and deliver them to your property, move them between job sites when one build finishes and the next begins, and take them away when you no longer need them. If you’re relocating across Perth, we can also move a container you already own from your old place to your new one.

Container sizes and site access

Sizes. We move 10, 20 and 40 foot containers, including high cube versions that are taller than standard. A 10 foot container suits a backyard or a small business. A 20 foot is the common choice for homes and building sites. A 40 foot needs a large, open site. Each size and weight calls for a different setup, so we’ll confirm the right truck for your container size and site before we lock in a price.

Access is everything. Most delivery problems come from the site, not the container. Before we quote, we’ll ask about:

  • The way in. Gate and driveway width, tight corners and any low-hanging trees or carports.
  • Overhead hazards. Power lines, phone cables and branches over the drop point. The container tilts as it comes off the truck.
  • The ground. Soft lawn, wet paddocks and freshly backfilled building sites can bog a loaded truck. Firm, dry ground matters.
  • Space to unload. The truck needs room in front and behind to line up and slide the container into place.
  • Which way the doors face. Decide before delivery. Turning a container once it’s down isn’t simple.

Photos of the site from the street and from the drop point help a lot. If access is tight, we’d rather tell you upfront than turn up with the wrong truck.

Homes, farms, building sites and yards. On a suburban block we pay attention to kerbs, verges, driveways and neighbours’ cars. On rural properties we look at track condition and how far the drop point is from the gate. On building sites we work around trades, scaffolding and site rules, so let us know who is in charge on site on the day.

Need a car or ute moved as part of the same project? Our vehicle transport service handles that as well.

Pricing and insurance

Container transport is quoted upfront, with transparent pricing and no hidden fees. The price depends on distance, container size and weight, site access at both ends and the time you need it done. Our best rates guarantee applies. If an insurance claim is involved, for example after storm or fire damage, we can bill your insurer directly where the claim allows. FAQ

Shipping Container Transport questions

What size shipping containers can you move?

We transport 10, 20 and 40 foot containers, including high cube versions. The size, the weight and both sites decide which truck we use. We'll confirm the right truck for your container size and site before we quote.

How much room do you need to deliver a container?

More than most people expect. The truck needs clear access through the gate or driveway, enough room to line up and space behind the drop point for the container to slide off. Tell us about gates, trees, power lines and soft ground, and send photos if you can.

Can you move a container that has things inside it?

Sometimes. It depends on the total weight and how the load is packed, because shifting contents make a container unstable when it's tilted. Tell us what's inside and roughly how heavy it is. In many cases it's safer to empty it first.

What should I put under the container?

A firm, level base. Many people use concrete pads, pavers or treated sleepers at the corners to keep the steel off the ground and help water drain away. Get the base ready before we arrive so we can set the container straight onto it.

Do I need council approval for a container at home?

Some Perth councils have rules about shipping containers on residential blocks, especially if they stay for a long time or sit near the front of the property. Check with your local council before you book.
