Towing in Kewdale: what we’re usually called out for
Kewdale isn’t a typical suburb. Most of it is warehouses, transport yards and container depots clustered around the Kewdale Freight Terminal, where rail freight from the eastern states arrives. That makes shipping container transport one of our most common jobs here. We move containers from depots to building sites, farms, homes and other yards across Perth.
The roads around Kewdale are freight roads. Leach Highway, Roe Highway and Tonkin Highway all carry heavy trucks, and a breakdown on any of them can be dangerous because of the speed and size of the traffic around you. We also tow plenty of work utes and vans from the industrial streets when a fleet vehicle won’t start or has a mechanical failure mid-shift.
Roads and places we cover around Kewdale
Kewdale is boxed in by major roads. Leach Highway runs along the south, Tonkin Highway along the east, and Abernethy Road and Kewdale Road carry traffic through the middle. Roe Highway is a short run away. Orrong Road leads north-west towards Belmont and the city. To the south, the industrial area flows straight into Welshpool, and Perth Airport sits just to the north-east beyond Redcliffe.
The residential pocket of Kewdale, around the streets near Cloverdale and Belmont, gets the usual suburban callouts, like flat batteries, failed alternators and cars that need transport to a workshop.
