Compact machinery we move

We transport machinery up to 11 tonnes, the compact plant that keeps Perth’s building sites, landscaping jobs and warehouses running. That includes bobcats and skid steers, mini excavators, forklifts, boom lifts and ride-on mowers. Jobs range from delivering hire gear to a site, moving a machine between jobs, taking it in for service and collecting machinery bought at auctions such as Pickles or Grays. Broken-down machines are no problem: tell us when you call if it won’t start or drive, so we can plan how it is loaded.

Tell us the make, model and weight

Machinery is heavy for its size, and weight decides which truck we send. We move machines up to 11 tonnes, including attachments. When you call, have the following ready:

  • Make and model (for example a Kubota mini excavator or a Toyota forklift)
  • Operating weight, found on the plate or in the operator’s manual
  • Width, height and length, plus the bucket or forks if fitted
  • Rubber tracks, steel tracks or wheels
  • Whether it runs and can be driven onto the tray

If you’re not sure of the weight, the make and model are usually enough for us to look it up.

Site access at both ends

Getting the truck in and out is often the hardest part of the job. Before we book, tell us about:

  • Gate and driveway width
  • Overhead power lines, trees or awnings
  • Soft sand, mud or a slope where the truck would need to park
  • Kerbs, footpaths and how close the truck can get
  • Loading dock or workshop access times

Sites in new estates around Ellenbrook, Alkimos or Baldivis can be sandy and soft after rain, while industrial yards in Welshpool, Kewdale, Wangara and Malaga often have tight loading times. Knowing this up front means the right truck turns up at the right time.

Loading and securing

Where the machine runs, the operator drives it onto the tray slowly, with someone guiding. Buckets and booms are lowered flat and the machine is chained or strapped at its designated tie down points. Forklift tynes go down and are secured, and ride-on mower decks are raised. Once loaded, the driver checks the height and that nothing will move before setting off.

Pricing

Machinery transport costs depend on the distance, the size and weight of the machine, whether it runs, access at both ends and the time of day or urgency. A site with tight access or soft ground may need more time. Call or text 0419 857 070 with the machine’s weight and site details, and we’ll quote the haul upfront so you know the full cost before we arrive.

Where we work

We move machinery across every Perth suburb, from Two Rocks to Secret Harbour and Cottesloe to Mundaring. That includes the northern suburbs, eastern suburbs, southern suburbs, western suburbs and south-eastern suburbs. Regional runs from Perth are also available. For larger loads like site storage, see our container transport service, and for vehicles see vehicle transport.

FAQ

Your questions

What machinery can you move?

Machines up to 11 tonnes. Common jobs include bobcats and skid steers, mini excavators, forklifts, boom and scissor lifts, ride-on mowers and small tractors. Call with the make, model and operating weight and we'll confirm the right truck.

What's the heaviest machine you can move?

Up to 11 tonnes. Check the operating weight on the machine's plate or in the manual, and include any attachments or buckets travelling with it, since they add to the total.

Does the machine need to be running?

Not always, but it makes loading much easier. A running machine can usually be driven onto the tray by the operator. If it doesn't run, tell us so we can plan how to winch it on safely.

Can you deliver to a building site?

Yes. Tell us about site access before we book: gate width, overhead power lines, soft ground and where the machine needs to be dropped. A quick site check saves a wasted trip.

Do I need to supply the attachments separately?

Let us know what's coming with the machine, such as buckets, forks, augers or a trailer of attachments. Loose attachments need to be secured separately, so we need to plan space and tie downs for them.
