Broken down on the bike
A flat battery, dead clutch cable, puncture or electrical fault can leave you stuck on the shoulder of the Kwinana Freeway or in a car park at Scarborough Beach. Pushing a heavy bike any distance isn’t an option, and leaving it overnight is a risk. Call us and we’ll send the nearest truck with a realistic ETA.
While you wait, move the bike well off the traffic lane if you can do it safely, put it on the side stand or centre stand, and keep your helmet and jacket on if you’re near moving traffic. Hazard lights help if the battery still has some charge. If you’re on a freeway, stand behind the barrier, not beside the bike.
How we load and secure a motorbike
Every bike goes on a tilt tray, so the bike rides fully on the tray with no wear on the tyres or drivetrain and no kilometres added. The tray tilts down to a low angle and the bike is rolled or winched up gently, front wheel first, into a wheel chock.
With the front wheel held, we use soft straps around strong frame points such as the lower triple clamp or the frame rails, never over the tank, levers or fairings. The straps pull down evenly on both sides so the forks compress a little and the bike can’t bounce loose. The rear is strapped as well to stop any sideways movement. Cruisers, sports bikes, adventure bikes, scooters and dirt bikes are all handled the same careful way.
Bike sale and auction pickups
If you’ve bought a bike through Marketplace, Gumtree, Pickles or Manheim and it isn’t registered, isn’t roadworthy or is simply too far to ride home, we can collect it. We also move bikes for people relocating house, sending a bike to a workshop or taking a project bike to storage.
Let us know the make and model, whether it rolls freely, whether the steering is locked and if there are keys. A bike with a seized rear wheel or a locked fork can still be moved, but we need to know so the driver comes ready.
What to tell us when you call
- Where the bike is (street, suburb or the nearest freeway exit)
- Make, model and roughly how big it is
- Whether it rolls, steers and has a working stand
- Any crash damage or fluid leaks
- Where you want it taken
Pricing
The cost depends on how far the bike is going, the type of bike, whether it rolls, how easy access is at both ends and the time of day or urgency. A pickup from a ground floor garage is simpler than one from a narrow side path or an underground car park. Call or text 0419 857 070 with the bike’s make and where it’s parked, and we’ll lock in a price for the ride before pickup, with no surprise charges and our best rates guarantee.
