Vehicle transport across Perth

Not every tow starts with a breakdown or a crash. Plenty of the cars on our trucks are perfectly fine, they just need to get from one place to another without being driven. Maybe they’re unregistered, maybe they’ve been sitting for years or maybe the owner would simply rather not put kilometres on them.

Typical jobs include collecting a car bought at auction, picking up a private sale from the other side of the city, moving a project car to a panel shop or engine builder, delivering a car to its new owner after a sale, and shifting vehicles when someone moves house. We move cars through to larger vehicles, and with more than 10 trucks working across Perth, it’s usually easy to fit a booking around your plans.

Tilt tray transport for every kind of vehicle

Tilt tray, not towing on the road. Every vehicle we move rides fully on the tray. There’s no wear on the tyres, gearbox or driveline, and no extra kilometres on the odometer. That matters for automatics, all-wheel-drive cars and anything valuable.

Non-running cars. A car that hasn’t started in years can still be moved. We winch it onto the tray slowly and secure it for the trip. Let us know about flat tyres, seized brakes or missing parts so we come prepared.

Auction, dealer and private sale pickups. Buying a car you can’t drive home is common. It may be unregistered, a long way from your place or simply not roadworthy yet. We collect from auction houses, dealer yards and private driveways. Have the paperwork ready and tell the seller when to expect us.

Project and classic cars. Restorations move around a lot: from shed to panel shop, to the painter, to the trimmer and back again. We load these cars carefully, watching clearances on low bodywork and securing them in a way that protects paint and trim. If the car is in pieces, tell us what’s attached and what’s loose.

Moving house. When you move, the car you don’t drive often gets left until last. Whether it’s a second car without rego, a project in the garage or a vehicle you can’t drive yourself, we can move it to the new address so you have one less thing to organise.

If the car has been damaged in a collision, see our accident towing page. For a car that stopped on the road, see breakdown towing. Need a shipping container moved as part of the same project? We handle container transport too.

Moving a bobcat, mini excavator, forklift or boom lift instead? We transport machinery up to 11 tonnes too.

Pricing and insurance

We quote vehicle transport upfront, with transparent pricing and no hidden fees, and our best rates guarantee applies. The price depends on distance, the type of vehicle, whether it runs, access at both ends and when you need it moved. If the move is part of an insurance claim, such as taking a repaired car home from the workshop, we can bill your insurer directly where the claim allows. See how direct insurance billing works.

Where we work

We move vehicles between any two addresses in Perth, 24/7, whether it’s a short hop across a suburb or a run from one side of the metro area to the other. That covers the northern suburbs, the southern suburbs, the hills and valley of the eastern suburbs, the western suburbs between the river and the coast, and the south-eastern suburbs. Booking ahead helps us plan the best time, but if a car needs moving today, call 0419 857 070 and we’ll do our best to fit it in.

FAQ

Vehicle Transport questions

Can you move a car that doesn't run?

Yes. We winch non-running cars onto the tilt tray. Tell us if the wheels turn, the steering works and the handbrake is off, as seized brakes or flat tyres change how we load it. Cars with missing wheels or no engine can often be moved too, so describe the car honestly when you call.

Can you collect a car I bought at auction?

Yes. Give us the auction house details, the lot or stock number and the release paperwork. Most auction houses only release a vehicle once it's paid for and they have authority, so sort that out before the pick-up time.

Do I need to be there for the pick-up and delivery?

Not always. Someone needs to hand over the keys and release the car at pick-up, and someone should be there to receive it. That can be a seller, a dealer, a neighbour or a workshop, as long as we know who to look for.

Is a tilt tray safe for a classic or lowered car?

Yes, with care. The car rides on the tray with all four wheels off the road. For low cars we take the loading angle slowly and check clearance as it comes up. Tell us the ride height and any fragile spoilers or exhausts.

How much does vehicle transport cost?

It depends on distance, the vehicle, whether it runs, access at both ends and timing. We quote upfront, there are no hidden fees and our best rates guarantee applies.
