Getting your auction car home

Buying at auction is the easy part. Getting the car out of the yard can be harder, especially if it does not run, has no rego, or you work during collection hours. We collect auction cars across Perth and deliver them wherever you need.

Every car is loaded onto a tilt tray. It rides fully on the tray, so a car with a dead battery, flat tyres or a damaged front end can still be moved safely. There is no wear on the driveline and no kilometres added.

Auction houses we collect from

We regularly collect from Perth’s main auction yards, including Pickles in the Welshpool and Canning Vale area, Manheim and Grays. Whether you bought a repairable write-off, an ex-fleet sedan, a work ute or a project car, we can pick it up.

Let us know which auction house and which yard, as some run more than one site. We will plan the run around their collection times.

Collection windows and paperwork

Auction yards are strict about collections. They set collection windows, may charge storage after the deadline, and will not release a car without the right documents. To avoid delays:

  • Book early. As soon as your purchase is confirmed and paid, call or text us with the details.
  • Send us the release. Most yards issue a release or collection form, and the driver will need it along with the lot or stock number.
  • Check the yard’s rules. Some yards need the buyer to authorise a third party to collect. Check your buyer’s documents and follow the auction house’s process.
  • Confirm keys. Ask whether keys are with the car or held at the office.

If the yard holds the car up for any reason, we will let you know straight away.

Non-running and unregistered cars

Many auction cars cannot be driven home. They may be unregistered, have a fault or be listed as a statutory or repairable write-off. Unregistered vehicles cannot be driven on the road, so a tilt tray is the simplest way to move them.

Tell us what you know about the condition. Does it roll? Do the wheels turn and does the steering work? Is there accident damage at the front or rear? This helps the driver bring the right winch, skates or extra straps.

What to tell us when you book

  • the auction house, yard location and lot or stock number
  • the release form or collection paperwork
  • make, model and known condition
  • whether keys are with the car
  • the delivery address and when someone will be there

Pricing

Auction collections are quoted on distance from the yard to your drop off, vehicle type and size, whether it runs and rolls, access at both ends and timing. You get a fixed upfront quote with no hidden fees and our best rates guarantee. Call or text with the details for your price.

Where we work

We collect from auction yards in the south-eastern suburbs around Welshpool and Canning Vale, and deliver to every Perth suburb, from Two Rocks to Secret Harbour and Cottesloe to Mundaring. That includes the northern suburbs, southern suburbs, eastern suburbs and western suburbs. We also do regional runs from Perth. Private sale pickups are covered by our vehicle transport service.

Won something at Pickles, Manheim or Grays? Call or text 0419 857 070 and we’ll get it out of the yard.

FAQ

Your questions

Can you collect a non-running or unregistered auction car?

Yes. The car goes on a tilt tray, so it does not need to run or be registered to be moved. Tell us if it rolls and steers, and whether keys come with it.

What paperwork do you need to collect from the auction?

Usually the release or collection form from the auction house, plus the lot or stock number. Each auction house has its own process, so check your buyer's documents and send us what they give you.

How quickly do I need to collect?

Auction houses set their own collection windows and may charge storage after them. Book us as soon as your purchase is confirmed so we can collect within the window.

Can you deliver straight to my mechanic?

Yes. We can deliver to your home, a workshop, a panel shop or a storage yard. Many buyers send the car straight to a mechanic for an inspection.
