Perth to Bunbury by tilt tray
Bunbury is a regional run of roughly two hours each way, and driving a car down yourself means organising a way back. Having it carried on a tilt tray solves that. Your car rides fully on the tray the whole way, so there’s no wear on the tyres, gearbox or driveline, and no kilometres added to the odometer.
The usual route is down the Kwinana Freeway and onto the Forrest Highway, past Mandurah and the Peel region. We can run in either direction, Perth to Bunbury or Bunbury back to Perth.
Who uses this run
People moving house between Perth and the South West often send a second car this way. Others buy a car through a Perth dealer, a private sale or an auction at Pickles or Manheim and need it brought down south. We also move cars to and from Bunbury workshops, project cars, cars for family members and vehicles that aren’t registered for the road.
Running or non-running
A running car is driven onto the tray. A car that doesn’t start is winched on, and as long as the wheels turn and it steers, it loads without much fuss. If it has a locked wheel, flat tyres or crash damage, tell us when you book so the driver can bring the right gear.
Before pickup, remove valuables and any loose items in the boot or cabin. Leave enough fuel or charge for the car to be moved at each end if it runs.
Mandurah, Busselton and Margaret River
The Bunbury run passes Mandurah, so pickups or drop-offs there fit in easily. Further south, we can take cars on to Busselton or Margaret River on request. Give us both full addresses and we’ll quote the whole trip.
Pickup and drop-off times
When you book, we’ll agree a pickup time and give you a realistic estimate for drop-off. Traffic on the freeway out of Perth and roadworks on the Forrest Highway can affect timing, so we’ll keep you updated on the day. If the car is going to a business, check their opening hours so someone is there to receive it.

The cost depends on the distance, the type of vehicle, whether it runs, access at both ends and how soon you need it done. A run to Margaret River costs more than one to Bunbury, and a short notice job may cost more than one booked ahead.
