When you already know the fault
Sometimes the diagnosis is done. The warning light has been on for a week, the gearbox is slipping, the mechanic already told you it is the clutch, or the car failed a service check and is not safe to drive. You do not need a roadside callout. You just need the car moved from A to B without making things worse.
Call or text 0419 857 070. We will quote it up front and book a time that suits you and the workshop.
Why tilt tray matters for mechanical faults
With a tilt tray, the car rides fully on the deck. The wheels do not turn, so a failing gearbox, CV joint, diff or wheel bearing is not loaded up on the way. No kilometres are added either. For automatics, AWDs and EVs, that avoids the damage that dragging a car on its wheels can cause.
Workshop hours and timing
Most Perth workshops work business hours, Monday to Friday, with some open Saturday mornings. Plan around that:
- During hours: we can deliver straight to the workshop bay and hand over keys in person.
- After hours: if the mechanic allows it, we can drop the car in an agreed spot and leave the keys in their key drop box. Get the details from them first.
- Scheduled tows: if the car is safe at home, we can book a time that lines up with the workshop opening.
We are available 24/7, so the tow can happen whenever suits you. The workshop’s rules decide where and when the car can be left.
Tell the mechanic it is coming
A short call to your mechanic saves a lot of hassle. Let them know:
- When the car is arriving and who is bringing it.
- What the fault is, or what you have already been told.
- Where they want it parked and how to leave the keys.
- Your best contact number.
Some workshops in industrial areas like Osborne Park, Malaga, Wangara and Welshpool have tight yards, so knowing in advance helps them make space.
What to tell us
- Pickup address and where the car is parked (driveway, street, garage).
- Make, model and whether it rolls and steers.
- The workshop name and address.
- Whether you will be there for pickup, or if the keys will be left somewhere.
If it has just broken down on the road, see breakdown towing. If you are moving a car that does not run at all, see vehicle transport.
Pricing
The price depends on the distance to the workshop, the vehicle type, whether it runs, access at both ends and the time of day or urgency. Scheduled tows are often simpler to plan. We give you the price of the run to your mechanic before pickup, with no add-ons at the workshop and our best rates guarantee in place. Call or text 0419 857 070.
