How our flat rate works
A flat rate tow means you know the price before anything moves. You tell us about the job, we work out a fixed quote, and you agree to it before the truck leaves. No meter running, no add-ons at the drop off.
It works because we ask the right questions first. Our team takes the details, matches the job with the nearest of our 10+ trucks, and gives you the figure along with a realistic ETA.
What’s included in the quote
Your fixed price covers the job from start to finish:
- the truck travelling to your vehicle
- loading onto a tilt tray, with the car fully on the tray and no wear on tyres, gearbox or driveline
- securing the vehicle with proper straps
- the trip to your chosen destination, whether that is home, a mechanic, a panel shop or a storage yard
- unloading at the drop off
There are no hidden fees. Our best rates guarantee applies, and if you are in an accident and covered, we can bill your insurer directly.
What could change it
The only thing that changes a flat rate is the job being different from what was described. That is why we ask a few questions upfront. Common examples:
- the car is in a different spot, like a basement car park in the Perth CBD instead of on the street
- it was described as rolling, but the brakes are seized or a wheel is locked
- it needs recovery first, such as being winched out of sand or a ditch
- the destination changes partway through
- there is a long wait at either end for gates, keys or paperwork
If any of these happen, the driver tells you before doing extra work. You can agree to the change, or keep things as they were where possible. Nothing gets added quietly to your bill.
Getting your fixed price
The more detail you give, the firmer the quote. When you call or text, tell us:
- the exact pickup address and where the car is parked
- the drop off address and whether someone will be there
- the make and model, and anything unusual like a lowered suspension, a lift kit or an EV
- whether it starts, rolls and steers, and if you have the keys
- how soon you need it
A couple of photos of the car and the spot it is in help us get it right first time.
Pricing
A flat rate does not mean everyone pays the same. Your fixed price is worked out from distance, vehicle type, whether it runs, access at both ends and time of day or urgency. Once those are set, the price is locked in. For more on each factor, see how much a tow truck costs in Perth.
Where we work
Flat rate quotes are available across every Perth suburb, from Two Rocks to Secret Harbour and Cottesloe to Mundaring. We cover the northern suburbs, eastern suburbs through the hills and valley, the southern suburbs, western suburbs and south-eastern suburbs. Breakdowns are handled by our breakdown towing team and planned moves by vehicle transport.

WA authorised crash towing business #810
Accident tow costs are regulated by law
Since the Towing Services Act 2024, only businesses authorised by the WA Department of Transport can tow crashed vehicles, and the charges are capped. Quik Tow & Transport is authorised crash towing business #810. These are the most anyone can charge to tow a crashed car in Perth and Peel (from 1 July 2026):
| Crashed car or light vehicle | Maximum |
|---|---|
| Crash tow (first 50 km) | $523 |
| Each extra km after 50 km | $4.75 |
| After-hours surcharge | $149 |
| Storage, per day | $27 |
| Admin fee (one-off) | $95 |
| Motorcycle storage, per day | $13.50 |
| Motorcycle admin fee (one-off) | $95 |
What the tow charge covers: preparing, loading, transporting and unloading the crashed vehicle, clearing crash debris, and the photos, phone calls and paperwork, for the first 50 km.
What's not capped: extra recovery work where the car is hard to reach or load, such as winching it out of a ditch, is charged at a reasonable rate. We'll tell you before we start.
Authority to Tow: before we move a crashed car, you sign an Authority to Tow form that lists the towing and storage costs and where the car is going. You keep a copy.
Insured? For covered claims we bill your insurer directly, so you usually pay nothing on the day.
