What gets us called to Armadale
Armadale is the commercial centre of the far south east, and that shows in the jobs we get. Flat batteries and cars that won’t restart are a weekly thing in the Armadale Shopping City car parks and around the train station, where commuters leave cars all day in summer heat.
The two highways bring the bigger jobs. Albany Highway and South Western Highway meet in the middle of Armadale, and traffic coming off the country stretches is often moving faster than town traffic expects. Rear-end crashes and side-swipes at the junction and along Armadale Road are typical accident towing work, and we can bill your insurer directly.
Caravans, horse floats and trailers heading south also pass through here, and a tow vehicle that overheats on the climb out of town is a regular call.
Getting around Armadale: roads and neighbours
Albany Highway runs north through Kelmscott towards Gosnells and the city, and south-east up the scarp past Bedfordale. South Western Highway heads south through Wungong to Byford. Armadale Road runs west past Brookdale and Forrestdale towards the Kwinana Freeway, carrying a lot of the traffic from the newer estates. In the centre, Third Road and Church Avenue frame the shopping precinct.
The hospital sits just over the line in Mount Nasura, and we often move cars for families visiting or for patients who can’t drive home.
Stuck in Armadale? Here’s what helps
- At the highway junction, don’t try to cross lanes to reach the kerb. Stop where you are safest and switch on your hazards.
- In a shopping centre or station car park, give us the bay row or the nearest shop or platform entrance.
- If you’re towing a caravan or float, tell us the length and weight so we bring the right truck.
- After a crash, photograph both cars and the intersection before anything is moved.
Ring 0419 857 070 and we’ll take it from there, any hour.
