What we’re called out for in Camillo
At under three square kilometres, Camillo is mostly suburban streets, a couple of primary schools and John Wollaston Anglican Community School. That means the calls are usually about everyday cars on everyday trips. A battery that dies after a weekend parked in the driveway, a car that overheats on a hot afternoon, or a family wagon with a failed starter motor at school pickup.
We also tow cars that have been parked up long-term and need to go to a mechanic, a wrecker or a new owner’s home. For those vehicle transport jobs, it helps to know whether the tyres are still holding air and whether the steering wheel is locked.
Westfield Road and Lake Road carry the through traffic, and with buses, school traffic and local turns, minor fender-benders do happen.
Camillo’s streets and the suburbs around it
Westfield Road is the main route through Camillo, running towards Kelmscott and its train station. Lake Road heads west into Champion Lakes, while Cammillo Road and Grovelands Drive serve the residential streets in the middle. Seville Grove sits just to the south-west, and the city centre of Armadale is a short drive south. The suburb was once part of Kelmscott, and the two still blend together around their shared border.
