Common towing jobs in Champion Lakes
Champion Lakes has two sides. On one is the regatta centre, a big open venue for rowing, kayaking and dragon boat racing. Event days bring lots of cars, trailers and boat racks, and with them flat batteries, trailers with blown wheel bearings, and the occasional car that has backed into a post. We tow cars, utes and trailers from the venue car parks.
On the other side is a relatively new residential suburb, and here our work is mostly standard breakdown towing. Cars that won’t start in the morning, a failed cooling fan in summer traffic, or a car that needs to go to the dealer under warranty.
Tonkin Highway runs straight through the suburb, carrying traffic at speed between the southern suburbs and the airport. Breakdowns and crashes there are a regular call.
Champion Lakes roads and nearby suburbs
Tonkin Highway is the main fast road, with intersections at Champion Drive, Albany Highway and Ranford Road. Gosnells lies across the northern boundary near the Albany Highway interchange, while Champion Drive cuts east into Camillo and Kelmscott. Lake Road and Henley Drive serve the streets around the lake. To the west is Southern River, and Forrestdale is to the south-west.
Stuck at Champion Lakes? Here’s what to do
- On Tonkin Highway, don’t try to cross to the median. Pull left and stay put.
- At the regatta centre, give us the car park and nearest venue building.
- If you’re towing a boat trailer, tell us its length and whether the boat is on it.
- In the residential streets, a house number and cross street is all we need.
