Common jobs in Bedfordale
Bedfordale is semi-rural hill country on the Darling Scarp, and the jobs here look different to suburban callouts. Hobby farmers and acreage owners call us when a ute, tractor or 4WD gets bogged after rain, or when a car can’t get back up a steep gravel driveway. Our 4WD recovery crew is used to soft ground, slopes and tight gateways.
The other big source of work is Albany Highway. The climb from Armadale up through Bedfordale is long and steady, and it catches out older cars, tow vehicles pulling caravans, and anything with a tired cooling system. Weekend visitors heading to the dams, the Elizabethan Village or the trails in Bungendore Park also add to the traffic on the narrower local roads.
Where we work around Bedfordale
Albany Highway is the spine of the suburb, running down the scarp to Armadale and on through the Perth suburbs, or out to the south-east towards Albany. Admiral Road leads to Wungong Dam and the Bedfordale hall area. Carradine Road and Soldiers Road wind through the bush blocks, and Soldiers Road forms part of a tourist drive loop through the hills.
To the east, Bedfordale runs into Ashendon and the Canning Dam country, while to the south-west it meets Byford in the Serpentine-Jarrahdale shire.
Stuck in Bedfordale? A few tips
- Give us the property number and the nearest named road, because many driveways look alike from the road.
- If you’re bogged, stop spinning the wheels. It only digs the car in deeper.
- On the highway, don’t stop on a bend. Roll on to a straight stretch if the car will safely allow it.
- Let us know about animals, gates or locked paddocks we’ll need to get through.
