What a Brookdale callout usually looks like
Brookdale is mostly residential, gazetted in the late 1990s out of the old Wungong district, with streets that fill up with school traffic morning and afternoon. A lot of our work here is ordinary breakdown towing: a car that won’t start in the driveway, a failed water pump on the school run, or a second car that has sat unused for months and needs to go to a workshop.
The edges of Brookdale are busier. Armadale Road carries heavy traffic between Armadale and the fast-growing estates further west, and it’s a regular spot for rear-end crashes at intersections and turning lanes. South Western Highway runs down the eastern side towards Byford, and trucks and caravans use it as a route south. A breakdown on either road needs moving quickly.
Brookdale roads and nearby suburbs
Armadale Road links Brookdale north-east into Armadale and west towards Forrestdale and the Kwinana Freeway. Forrest Road and Ninth Road run through the residential streets, and Wungong Road heads south towards the Wungong area and Byford. On the other side of South Western Highway, the land rises into Mount Richon and then Bedfordale in the hills.
If your car has stopped in Brookdale
- On Armadale Road, pull into a side street or a bus bay if you can reach one safely, rather than stopping in the traffic lane.
- Near a school at pickup time, tell us so we can time our arrival and park safely.
- Have the address of the workshop or home where the car is going.
- If a wheel is damaged or the car won’t roll, mention it so we bring the right equipment.
Phone 0419 857 070 and we’ll get a truck to you.
