What brings us to Belmont
Great Eastern Highway runs along the north-western edge of Belmont, and it’s one of the busiest roads in the eastern suburbs. With traffic heading to the airport, the city and the hills, rear-end crashes and breakdowns in peak hour are common. These are typical accident towing jobs where we’ll usually bill your insurer directly.
Belmont is also a big residential suburb, with older homes and newer units on Alexander Road and Belmont Avenue. That means flat batteries, worn starter motors and cars that need moving to a workshop. With the airport so close, we also get calls from people whose car won’t start when they get back from a trip.
Main roads and areas near Belmont
Great Eastern Highway carries traffic towards the city in one direction and towards the airport and Midland in the other. Abernethy Road runs south-east from the highway towards Cloverdale and the industrial area in Kewdale. Belmont Avenue marks the boundary with Cloverdale, and Alexander Road heads west towards Rivervale.
To the north, Belmont meets Ascot and the river, while Redcliffe and the airport precinct sit to the east.

- On Great Eastern Highway, pull into a side street or a business car park if the car will still move.
- Give us a cross street, a landmark or the business you’ve stopped outside.
- If you’re heading to the airport, tell us your flight time so we can talk through options.
- If you’ve collided with someone near the Abernethy Road lights, photograph both cars before anything moves.
