The kind of tows we do in Rivervale
Rivervale has changed a lot, with newer apartments now sitting alongside older homes and small commercial strips. Great Eastern Highway runs through the northern part of the suburb, and it’s one of the busiest routes in and out of the city. Breakdowns on the highway and nose-to-tail crashes at the lights keep us busy, and for crashes we offer accident towing with insurer billing.
Inside the suburb, many of our calls come from apartment car parks and units with shared parking, where a dead battery or a car that’s been sitting too long needs a careful extraction. On event nights at the stadium in neighbouring Burswood, we also see more breakdowns as people return to cars parked in Rivervale’s streets.
Main routes through Rivervale
Great Eastern Highway carries traffic east towards Belmont and the airport, and west into the city across the river. Orrong Road runs down the western side near Lathlain, heading south towards Welshpool. Kooyong Road, Belmont Avenue and Alexander Road carry local traffic through the middle of the suburb.
To the south-east are Cloverdale and Kewdale, and Victoria Park is a short drive south-west. Across the river lies Maylands, which is close as the crow flies but a longer trip by road.
Stuck in Rivervale? Do this
- On Great Eastern Highway, move into a side street if you can. The highway lanes are busy most of the day.
- In an apartment complex, tell us the building name and which entry to use.
- After a stadium event, find a lit, safe spot nearby while you wait.
- Let us know if the car is in a bay with a height limit.
Call 0419 857 070 and tell us whether you’re near the highway or the stadium.
