Towing in Currambine: the usual callouts
Built in the 1990s around its train station, Currambine owes a lot of our callouts to that station. Commuters drive in from Kinross, Iluka and further north, park all day and sometimes come back to a dead battery or a car that won’t crank. We tow those cars home or to a workshop, often in the evening rush.
Currambine Central draws its own crowd, and car park breakdowns there are routine breakdown towing jobs for us. Out on the edges, the Mitchell Freeway on the east side and Burns Beach Road on the north carry fast traffic, and freeway crashes near the Burns Beach Road interchange are among our more urgent callouts.
Roads and nearby suburbs
Connolly Drive runs north to south through Currambine and Moore Drive runs east to west, splitting the suburb into four quarters. Moore Drive links east into Joondalup, while Burns Beach Road separates Currambine from Kinross. Marmion Avenue on the west side borders Iluka, and Shenton Avenue on the south leads past Joondalup Resort’s golf course, part of which sits inside Currambine.
If you’re stuck in Currambine right now
- On the freeway, get behind the barrier if you can, and tell us whether you’re north or south of the Burns Beach Road exit.
- At the station, give us the car park section and nearest lamp post or sign.
- On Connolly Drive or Moore Drive, pull off at a side street or verge if the car still rolls.
- Have your keys, rego and any insurer claim number ready for the driver.
