Towing in Edgewater: what we see most
With Lake Joondalup on its eastern edge and almost no through traffic, Edgewater gives us mostly ordinary household jobs. Cars that won’t start after a long weekend, worn-out batteries and vehicles that need a lift to a workshop are typical. Families at Mater Dei College and the local primary school add school-run breakdowns on Treetop Avenue and the streets around it.
Edgewater station is the other regular pickup spot. Commuters park there from early morning, and a dead battery at the end of the day is a common reason people call us. Beside the station, the Mitchell Freeway brings fast-moving traffic past the suburb, and freeway breakdowns and crashes nearby often become accident towing jobs that we bill straight to the insurer.
Roads and neighbouring suburbs
Joondalup Drive forms Edgewater’s western boundary and starts at a T-junction with Ocean Reef Road, which runs along the south. Across Joondalup Drive and the freeway is Heathridge, and to the north the suburb flows into the Joondalup city centre. South across Ocean Reef Road is Woodvale. Eddystone Avenue meets Joondalup Drive on the way north, and Treetop Avenue runs through the middle of the suburb.
If you’re stuck in Edgewater right now
- On Joondalup Drive, pull into a side street or the station access road rather than stopping in a lane.
- Near the lake, give us the closest street name, not the walk trail.
- If you’re at the station, note the bay row and the nearest entrance from Joondalup Drive.
- Tell us where the car should go, especially if your preferred mechanic is in Joondalup’s industrial streets.
