Nicholson Road forms the eastern side of Piara Waters, with Harrisdale across the road and Canning Vale to the north. Armadale Road runs along the south, linking west to Jandakot and Cockburn Central and east to Armadale. Warton Road runs down the western side, meets Nicholson Road at the northern tip and carries on north towards Huntingdale. Wright Road crosses towards Southern River, and Piara Drive serves the southern streets. The Piara Nature Reserve takes up a big central area, so some streets on either side are further apart by road than they look on a map.
