Why people need a tow in Jandakot
The airport defines this suburb. Apart from the runways and hangars, the land around Jandakot Airport is now a large commercial estate with warehouses, trade suppliers and distribution businesses. That means work utes, delivery vans and container moves make up a good share of our jobs here, along with cars belonging to staff and student pilots that won’t start at the end of the day.
The freeway is the other big source. Jandakot sits on the Kwinana Freeway right where Roe Highway ends, and that interchange sees plenty of traffic merging and braking at peak times. Crashes and breakdowns on that stretch are some of the more stressful calls we take, and we’ll get you and the car off the freeway as safely as we can.
In the semi-rural pockets towards the south, it’s more about older farm utes, horse floats and cars bogged on soft sandy driveways.
Roads in and around Jandakot
Roe Highway runs along the northern edge, with Leeming on the other side. Karel Avenue crosses Roe Highway to meet Berrigan Drive, and together they carry most of the traffic into the airport precinct. The freeway forms the western boundary, with Bibra Lake and South Lake beyond it. Armadale Road and Jandakot Road run along the south, connecting across to Canning Vale, Atwell and Cockburn Central.
If your car stops in Jandakot
- On the freeway near the Roe Highway interchange, stay well left with hazards on and get behind the barrier.
- In the airport precinct, use the building name and street, not just “the airport”.
- On a rural block, tell us about gates, livestock and soft sand before the driver arrives.
- For a work vehicle, let us know if it’s loaded or towing a trailer.
