What usually goes wrong in Ashby
Ashby is one of the smaller suburbs in the City of Wanneroo, a triangle of mostly newer homes with Wanneroo Road on the south-west side, Pinjar Road on the south-east and Conti Road across the top. Most of our work here is everyday breakdown towing: cars that won’t start in the morning, a dead alternator, or a second car that’s been sitting on the verge for months and finally needs to go.
The roads around the edge are a different story. Wanneroo Road carries a lot of traffic between Joondalup and the southern end of Wanneroo, including trucks and tradie utes, and the signalised intersection with Pinjar Road sees its share of collisions. When that happens we tow the damaged car and can organise billing through your insurer.
Roads around Ashby
Carosa Road runs through the middle of the suburb and is the street most locals use to get in and out. The Ashby Village shops are the local landmark most people give us as a meeting point. Wanneroo Road links Ashby south to the Wanneroo town centre and north towards Joondalup. Pinjar Road heads up past Tapping towards Banksia Grove, while Wanneroo itself wraps around the western side.
Ashby also sits next to semi-rural land to the east, and we can collect older farm utes and trailers from those properties too.
Broken down in Ashby? A few tips
- Ashby’s streets are narrow in places. If your car is parked tight, tell us whether a truck can reverse in or needs to winch from the road.
- On Pinjar Road, aim for the verge rather than stopping in a traffic lane.
- Give us the street plus the nearest corner off Carosa Road so the driver can find you quickly.
