Typical callouts in Madeley
Kingsway City is the big one. It’s one of the main shopping centres along this part of Wanneroo Road, and its car parks generate a steady run of flat batteries, starter motor failures and cars that won’t come out of park. Cars also get clipped while reversing out of bays, and if the damage stops them being driven, that becomes a small accident tow to the repairer of your choice.
The Kingsway Regional Sporting Complex on Kingsway brings its own weekend rush. Hundreds of players and parents arrive for football, cricket and other sports, and some cars simply refuse to go home afterwards. Wanneroo Road, along the western boundary, adds the more serious jobs, with heavy traffic, frequent lights and the occasional nose-to-tail crash.
Roads and places we cover around Madeley
Madeley sits on the eastern side of Wanneroo Road, facing Kingsley across the road. Hepburn Avenue runs along the southern edge for about one and a half kilometres, with Marangaroo and Greenwood to the south. Kingsway runs east through the suburb towards Darch and Landsdale, while Woodvale and the Wangara industrial area are a short drive north.
Inside Madeley the streets are mostly newer homes on compact lots, where parking can be tight and driveways are short. We plan for that when a car needs to be winched out.
