What North Lake callouts tend to be
North Lake is mostly bushland, wetland and quiet residential streets, so our work here is a mix of road calls and everyday breakdowns. Farrington Road is the busiest local road. It runs along the northern edge between the freeway and Kardinya, past the lake and Murdoch University, and it carries traffic to the hospitals and campus at Murdoch. Peak-hour crashes and breakdowns on Farrington Road are common callouts.
Sports traffic is the other regular source. Lakeside Recreation Centre on the corner of Farrington Road and Bibra Drive draws big crowds for basketball, and cars left in the car park on a hot afternoon often come back with a flat battery. We handle these as straightforward breakdown towing, taking the car home or to your mechanic.
The residential streets are calm, and most calls there are from families whose second car has finally stopped for good.
Roads and neighbours around North Lake
Farrington Road forms the northern boundary, with Murdoch across the road. The Kwinana Freeway runs along the east, and Leeming sits on the other side. To the south, the old Roe Highway road reserve separates the suburb from Bibra Lake, and North Lake Road marks the western edge with Coolbellup and Kardinya. Bibra Drive and Progress Drive are the main internal roads, running past the lake and the reserve.
If you’re stuck in North Lake now
- On Farrington Road, pull onto the verge or into a side street, well away from passing traffic.
- At the recreation centre, tell us the nearest entrance and whether the car is blocking anyone.
- Near the lake, let us know which side of the water you’re on and the closest cross street.
- Have your insurer details handy if there’s been any damage.
