Common towing jobs in Safety Bay
This is a sheltered, family beach suburb on Warnbro Sound, and a lot of our work here revolves around the water. The boat ramp opposite the Bent Street shops is busy on fine weekends, and a tow car that cuts out halfway up the ramp holds up everyone behind it. Windsurfers and kitesurfers heading to the neighbouring beach at Shoalwater also leave cars sitting by the water for hours, which is hard on older batteries.
Away from the foreshore it’s a settled residential area with plenty of retirees and families. Typical requests are a car that won’t start in the driveway, a caravan or boat that needs shifting, or a vehicle that needs transporting to a dealer or workshop rather than driven.
Safety Bay Road is the main through route, and its roundabouts see the occasional nose-to-tail bump in summer traffic.
Roads and places we cover around Safety Bay
Safety Bay Road follows the coast here before turning east at the yacht club area and heading inland, eventually reaching the Kwinana Freeway in Baldivis. Arcadia Drive runs along the shoreline towards Shoalwater, and Malibu Road links back into the residential streets.
To the north, Rockingham and its shopping centre are a few minutes away, while Warnbro lies to the south along the curve of Warnbro Sound. Penguin Island sits just offshore, and the whole bay falls within the Shoalwater Islands Marine Park.
Car trouble in Safety Bay right now?
- At the boat ramp, chock the trailer wheels if you can, and keep the ramp clear for others if the car is still mobile.
- Near the foreshore, tell us which car park or the closest shop on Bent Street.
- If salt water has reached the engine or electrics, don’t keep trying to start it.
- Let us know if there’s a boat or caravan attached.
Ring 0419 857 070 and we’ll get a truck organised.
