Why Ardross drivers call us
Ardross is a small, mostly residential suburb, but it’s wedged between some of the busiest roads in the City of Melville. Canning Highway runs along the northern edge and Riseley Street carries shoppers south to Westfield Booragoon, so plenty of our Ardross jobs are cars that stall or overheat in stop-start traffic. Nose-to-tail crashes at the Riseley Street lights are common enough that we often arrange the accident tow and insurer billing together.
Inside the suburb, it’s ordinary household trouble. Batteries go flat on cars that sit in the driveway all week, older sedans blow a radiator hose climbing the hill near Wireless Hill, and students at Applecross Senior High run their first cars until something gives up.
Roads in and around Ardross
Ardross Street marks the eastern side of the suburb and Canning Highway the north, with Applecross on the river side. Wireless Hill Park fills the western edge, and the residential streets spill down towards Alfred Cove. To the south, Almondbury Road runs right beside the shopping centre on the way into Booragoon.
The highway is the main way in for our trucks, and our guide to Canning Highway covers its worst intersections. For cars that just need to get to a workshop without being driven, we also offer vehicle transport.
Stuck in Ardross? What to do
- If you’re on Riseley Street near the shopping centre, turn into a side street rather than a car park entry if the car still rolls.
- On a hill, leave the car in gear or park, handbrake on, wheels turned towards the kerb.
- Mention any landmark nearby, like the school gate or the Wireless Hill entrance, so we can find you fast.
- Tell us if the car is low, modified or has a flat tyre, so the right truck comes.
