Why we’re in Myaree so often
Myaree is largely a light industrial and commercial area, with a dense mix of mechanics, panel beaters, tyre shops, auto electricians and trade suppliers. That makes it one of our most common drop-off points in the southern suburbs. A lot of our Myaree work is delivering cars from Melville, Booragoon, Bicton and beyond to the workshop the owner already trusts, often using our vehicle transport service for cars that can’t be driven.
Pickups happen too. Work vans and utes break down in the business streets, delivery vehicles get stuck with a flat battery outside a supplier, and customers’ cars sometimes need to move between workshops for specialist repairs.
The highway side is the other part. Leach Highway runs along the southern edge, and the heavy freight heading to and from Fremantle port makes breakdowns there riskier than on a local street.
Getting around Myaree
Leach Highway forms the southern boundary, with Willagee and Winthrop on the far side. North Lake Road runs north to south through the middle of the business area and on towards Kardinya. Norma Road and McCoy Street hold many of the workshops, and Marmion Street, towards the north, connects west to Melville, with Alfred Cove beyond it to the north. Booragoon and the big shopping centre there are just to the east.
Broken down in Myaree? Some quick tips
- For a delivery, give us the workshop name, street number and any key drop details.
- On Leach Highway, stay well clear of the traffic. Trucks pass quickly and close.
- In the business streets, check that the car isn’t blocking a loading bay or driveway.
- Tell us if the car has been partly dismantled or has missing wheels.
