The jobs we see most in Balcatta
Balcatta is split in two. A large part of the suburb is the Balcatta light industrial area, built around Erindale Road and Balcatta Road, full of panel shops, mechanics, wholesalers and trade suppliers. The rest is family housing, much of it built from the 1970s on land that used to be market gardens. That mix means our jobs here range from container transport for local businesses to moving vehicles in and out of workshops all day.
The roads add plenty more. The Mitchell Freeway runs along the western side, Reid Highway runs along the north, and Wanneroo Road forms the eastern edge. Breakdowns on the freeway ramps and crashes at the big signalised intersections are common, and our accident towing crews often bill the insurer directly.
Roads and connections around Balcatta
Erindale Road is the main way into the industrial area from Reid Highway, and Balcatta Road runs through the middle of it. Amelia Street crosses the residential side past Balcatta Senior High School. Wanneroo Road on the east side leads up to Balga and down past Nollamara, while the Mitchell Freeway on the west gets you to the city or north to Joondalup in minutes. To the south-west, Balcatta runs into Stirling and its own commercial streets.
If you’re stuck in Balcatta right now
- In the industrial area, give us the business name and street number. Many units share a driveway, so say which bay or roller door you’re near.
- If you’re on a freeway ramp or Reid Highway, stay clear of the traffic side and keep your hazards on.
- For loaded utes or vans, tell us roughly what’s on board so we bring the right truck.
- After a crash, get photos and the other driver’s details before anything is moved.
