Typical Nollamara callouts
Nollamara is an established suburb that’s changing quickly. Older houses are giving way to townhouses, and that means a lot of cars that have sat on driveways or verges for months and now need to be moved. Project cars, unregistered runabouts and vehicles left behind after a sale are regular jobs here, often going to a wrecker or a mechanic on the other side of town through our vehicle transport service.
Day to day, the bigger risk is traffic. Wanneroo Road runs along the western side of the suburb, Mirrabooka Avenue along the east, and Morley Drive and Flinders Street cut across. Right-turn crashes at busy intersections and rear-enders in the evening queue towards the city are common, and we tow plenty of cars with radiators or alternators that quit in stop-start traffic.
Main roads through Nollamara
Wanneroo Road separates Nollamara from Balcatta and runs south to Tuart Hill and the city. Mirrabooka Avenue leads north to the bus station and shops at Mirrabooka. Flinders Street is the quick route south towards Leederville and Northbridge, and Morley Drive heads east into Dianella. Inside the suburb, Nollamara Avenue and Hillsborough Drive carry local traffic past schools, parks and the shopping strip.
We’re familiar with the narrow driveways and battle-axe blocks that come with all the infill building, and we’ll bring a truck that suits the access.
Broken down in Nollamara? A few tips
- On Wanneroo Road or Mirrabooka Avenue, turn into the nearest side street rather than stopping in a traffic lane, if the car will still roll.
- For a car that hasn’t moved in a long time, check whether the wheels turn and tell us about any flat tyres.
- Mention any tight gate, low carport or shared driveway so we plan the pickup properly.
- If it was a crash, photograph both cars and swap details before anything is moved.
