What we tow in Lesmurdie most often
The road up is the big one. Welshpool Road East climbs the Darling Scarp from Wattle Grove in a series of tight bends, and the grade is hard on engines, gearboxes and brakes. We get called to cars that have overheated on the way up, vehicles that have run wide on a bend coming down, and the occasional trailer or caravan combination that has struggled with the hill. Crashes on the climb are handled as accident towing, and we can work directly with your insurer.
Lesmurdie is also a school suburb, with three high schools inside its boundaries. Teenagers’ first cars are often older and well used, so flat batteries, failed alternators and cars that just won’t start after the bell are common. The rest of our work is at home: big hills blocks, sloping driveways and the odd ute that has dropped a wheel off a soft gravel edge.
Roads and places we cover around Lesmurdie
Welshpool Road East is the main way up from the coastal plain. Canning Road links Lesmurdie with Kalamunda to the north, and the semi-rural streets of Bickley lie to the south-east. Lesmurdie Road runs through the suburb, meeting Rooth Road near the local shopping centre, and Sanderson Road is home to Lesmurdie Village.
Lesmurdie Falls National Park sits on the western side, where the scarp drops towards Forrestfield. Down the hill to the south-west is Wattle Grove. If you need a car moved off the hill to a buyer or a workshop rather than a breakdown tow, use our vehicle transport service.
If you’re stuck in Lesmurdie right now
- On Welshpool Road East, never stop on a bend. Roll on to a straighter section if the car will still move safely.
- If your brakes are fading on the descent, use a low gear and pull over as soon as you can.
- At school pick-up time, tell us the gate or car park so the driver doesn’t have to circle the block.
- For hills properties, mention gates, steep drives or gravel so we send the right truck.
