Typical Wattle Grove callouts
Wattle Grove has two very different sides, and our jobs reflect that. The western part, bounded by Welshpool Road East, Tonkin Highway and Roe Highway, is mostly newer housing with lakes and parks. Here we see the usual suburban calls: cars that won’t start in the driveway, flat batteries at the shops and family cars that need a lift to a mechanic.
The eastern side is semi-rural, with nurseries, kennels, horse properties and small farms. That means utes, 4WDs and trailers on gravel driveways and soft paddock ground, especially after winter rain. Then there are the highways. Both Tonkin and Roe carry heavy freight and fast traffic, so breakdowns and crashes there are serious, and we handle them as breakdown towing or accident towing with insurer billing.
Roads and neighbours around Wattle Grove
Roe Highway forms the western edge and Tonkin Highway runs north to south through the suburb, while Welshpool Road East crosses from Welshpool towards Lesmurdie. Hale Road heads north towards Forrestfield, while Kelvin Road runs south towards Orange Grove and Maddington. Crystal Brook Road marks the eastern edge of the suburb, where the rural blocks give way to the scarp.
Over Roe Highway to the west is Kenwick, and Hartfield Park, with its sports grounds and golf course, sits near the Forrestfield side.
Stuck in Wattle Grove? Tips that help
- On Tonkin or Roe Highway, stay behind the barrier and wait for us well away from traffic.
- On a rural block, tell us about soft ground, gates and whether there are animals loose.
- In the newer estates, give us the street and house number, as many streets look alike.
- If you’re towing a trailer, mention its size and load.
