Beckenham callouts: the usual suspects
Most Beckenham jobs fall into two groups. The first is highway work. Roe Highway skirts the suburb, and the Kenwick Link carries Albany Highway traffic onto it, so merging and lane changes here lead to a fair number of nose-to-tail crashes. When that happens, we handle the accident towing and can bill your insurer directly so you’re not paying on the spot.
The second is everyday breakdowns. Commuters park at Beckenham station on the Armadale and Thornlie-Cockburn lines, and a car that sat in the sun all day can come back to a dead battery. Around the William Street shops and the residential streets toward Kenwick, it’s more often an older family car with a failed alternator or a gearbox that has finally given out.
Highways, streets and the suburbs next door
Albany Highway cuts through Beckenham, linking north-west to Cannington and Westfield Carousel and south-east towards Maddington. You can read more about it on our Albany Highway page. Roe Highway heads one way to Welshpool and the airport, and the other way to Thornlie and the Kwinana Freeway. William Street is the local spine through the middle, while Lacey Street marks the edge with East Cannington. To the east the houses give way to the semi-rural edge of Kenwick.
On the south-west side, the Canning River forms the boundary, and a few quiet streets end close to the water.
Need a tow in Beckenham right now?
- On Roe Highway, note the last exit sign or overpass you passed.
- If you’ve stalled at a busy Albany Highway intersection, stay buckled in with hazards on rather than standing near the traffic.
- In a narrow residential street, tell us if there’s a car parked across the driveway or a tight turning space.
- Know where you want the car to go before we arrive, so we can head straight there.
