The Kenwick jobs we see most
Kenwick is an unusual mix. Albany Highway is lined with light industrial businesses, workshops and trade suppliers, and work utes and vans break down there during business hours. Around the station, there’s a mixed retail and commercial centre, and the residential streets run off from there. Further east, some of the land is still old smallholdings of a few acres, and the Brixton Street Wetlands are protected bushland.
Roe Highway runs along the north-western edge, and the Kenwick Link connects it with Albany Highway. Merging traffic, heavy vehicles and high speeds make this a common spot for crashes and breakdowns. Those are accident towing jobs where we can usually bill your insurer directly.
We also move trailers, small machinery and the odd shipping container from properties and businesses in the area.
Kenwick roads and nearby suburbs
Albany Highway runs through the western part of Kenwick, linking north-west to Beckenham and Cannington, and south-east to Maddington. Roe Highway runs along the north-western boundary, connecting to Welshpool and the airport one way and Thornlie the other. Kenwick Road and Brixton Street carry traffic through the quieter, semi-rural parts of the suburb, out towards Wattle Grove. The Canning River marks the south-western boundary.
Broken down in Kenwick? Some tips
- On Roe Highway or the Kenwick Link, get behind the barrier and stay well clear of traffic.
- At a business, tell us the name and whether it’s open or locked up.
- On a smallholding, describe the driveway and any soft ground.
- If you’re near the station, say which side of the tracks you’re on.
