Quinns Rocks: the calls we get
A long, open beach runs the whole western side of Quinns Rocks, and a lot of our work follows the crowds to it. Cars left on Ocean Drive with the windows down and a phone charging often have a dead battery by late afternoon. Older cars overheat on the hills of the original beachfront streets, and we’re sometimes asked to collect a car that stalled halfway up a steep driveway in “Old Quinns”.
Marmion Avenue is the other source of jobs. It’s the eastern boundary of the suburb and a main commuting route to Clarkson station and Joondalup, so crashes at the Quinns Road and Hampshire Drive intersections and peak-hour breakdowns are regular calls. For collisions we provide accident towing and can deal with your insurer directly.
Quinns Rocks roads and suburbs around it
Quinns Road forms the southern boundary with Mindarie, and Hampshire Drive runs along the north next to Jindalee. Marmion Avenue separates Quinns Rocks from Merriwa and Butler, with Clarkson and the Ocean Keys shopping centre a short drive south-east. Ocean Drive hugs the coast, and Tapping Way runs north to south through the middle of the suburb, past the Norfolk estate and the Quinns Village shops.
We know the difference between the older streets near the beach, with their overhead power lines and narrow verges, and the newer cul-de-sacs east of Tapping Way, where access is easier.
Broken down at Quinns? Here’s what helps
- Near the beach, note the closest beach access path number or a landmark such as the surf club.
- On a hilly street, leave the car in gear or park with the handbrake firmly on and wheels turned to the kerb.
- On Marmion Avenue, pull into a side street or the shopping centre if the car will still move.
- Let us know about overhead lines or a tight driveway so the right truck is sent.
Pick up the phone and dial 0419 857 070, and a Quinns Rocks tow will be on its way.
