Common callouts in Swan View
Swan View is almost entirely homes and parkland, laid out over sloping ground at the foot of the hills. That slope matters. We get a steady run of cars that have rolled or slid on steep driveways, plus older cars that strain on the climb and overheat. Clutch and gearbox failures on hills are another regular, and many of those jobs end with us taking the car down to a workshop in Midland.
Morrison Road is the main road in and out of the suburb, carrying traffic down to Midvale and Midland. Breakdowns and the odd collision there are standard breakdown towing and accident towing work for us, and we can deal with your insurer directly after a crash.
Swan View’s roads and edges
The suburb’s western boundary follows the Eastern Railway, with Midvale on the other side. Morrison Road runs up from there, and Talbot Road heads north towards Stratton and Jane Brook. Myles Road, Blackadder Road and Swan View Road carry local traffic through the residential streets.
To the east is John Forrest National Park, with the historic Swan View Tunnel on the old railway line, now part of the Railway Reserves Heritage Trail. Southwards, the heritage trail forms the boundary with Greenmount, and Bellevue sits to the south-west.
Broken down in Swan View? A few pointers
- On a slope, leave the car in gear or park, handbrake on and wheels turned into the kerb.
- If the car has slid off a driveway, don’t try to drive it back up.
- Give us the nearest cross street on Morrison Road or Talbot Road.
- On the park side, tell us if the road is gravel or narrow.
