What we’re usually called out for in Waterford
Waterford has a big student population because Curtin University is just across Manning Road. Plenty of those students run cheap, high-kilometre cars, and flat batteries, overheating and failed clutches are frequent breakdown towing jobs here. Shared houses and unit blocks often have cars parked tightly, which affects how we approach the pickup.
Waterford Plaza, which despite its name sits just over Manning Road in Karawara, is the other main pickup point for locals. It’s busy on weekends and in the evenings, and we regularly collect cars that won’t start in its car park. Manning Road itself carries heavy traffic between the Kwinana Freeway and Cannington, and crashes at its intersections are common accident towing calls.
Roads and places around Waterford
Manning Road runs along Waterford’s northern edge, with Karawara and Curtin University on the other side. Waterford Avenue heads south from the Kent Street corner into the suburb, and Elderfield Road links west towards Manning. Centenary Avenue marks the eastern side, where Waterford meets Bentley and Wilson. Clontarf Aboriginal College and Trinity College’s playing fields take up land near the river, and Salter Point sits just to the south-west.
