The usual Yangebup callouts
Yangebup is a residential suburb built around Yangebup Lake, with schools, local shops on Swallow Drive and plenty of parks. Inside the suburb, we’re mostly called for everyday breakdowns: cars that won’t start in the morning, older cars with cooling problems, and vehicles needing transport to a workshop or to a new owner.
The roads around the boundary are busier. Beeliar Drive runs along the southern edge as a major east to west link between the Kwinana Freeway and Stock Road, and Stock Road on the western side is part of National Route 1. Crashes at their intersections and roundabouts are among our more urgent jobs here, often billed straight to an insurer.
Because the industrial streets of Bibra Lake sit just to the north, we also see work utes and vans that break down on the way to a job.
Roads and places we cover around Yangebup
The freight rail line and North Lake Road form the northern boundary, with Bibra Lake beyond. Hammond Road runs down the eastern side next to South Lake and Cockburn Central, and Beeliar Drive separates Yangebup from Beeliar to the south. Stock Road marks the west, where Spearwood begins.
Inside the suburb, Dunraven Drive and Swallow Drive are useful landmarks, along with the Yangebup Family Centre and the local primary schools.
