What goes wrong for drivers in Cottesloe
Cottesloe Beach draws people from right across Perth, and the parking along Marine Parade fills early on warm days. That’s where a lot of our jobs start. Cars sit for hours in the sun, batteries give out, and older cars that crawled through beach traffic arrive with overheated engines. Sunset crowds mean the evening is busy as well.
Stirling Highway and Curtin Avenue both run north to south through the suburb, either side of the Fremantle railway. They carry heavy commuter traffic between the city and Fremantle, and a crash or breakdown on either can block a lane quickly. We clear those, and when it’s an insured job we can bill your insurer directly through our insurance towing process.
Away from the beach, the Napoleon Street shops and Cottesloe station car parks see the everyday stuff: dead batteries, failed alternators and cars that need a lift to the mechanic.
Where we work in Cottesloe
Marine Parade follows the coast past the Indiana Tea House and the hotels. Eric Street, Forrest Street and Grant Street climb east from the beach to Curtin Avenue, the railway and Stirling Highway. Broome Street is a quieter north-south route through the middle of the suburb.
To the south, Mosman Park continues towards North Fremantle. Peppermint Grove and Claremont lie to the east across the highway. We regularly arrange breakdown towing from all of them.
What to do if you’re stuck in Cottesloe
- On Marine Parade, pull into a marked bay rather than stopping in the traffic lane, even if it means rolling a few metres.
- Give us the cross street and which side of the road you’re on.
- On Curtin Avenue or Stirling Highway, a side street is safer than the shoulder.
- Tell us where the car needs to go, whether that’s home, a workshop or a repairer.
Then phone 0419 857 070. We answer around the clock.
