What usually goes wrong in Mosman Park
Mosman Park is mostly residential, but it has two busy north-south roads cutting through it. Stirling Highway and Curtin Avenue carry commuters, buses and trucks between the western suburbs and Fremantle, and a breakdown or crash on either quickly backs things up. Our accident towing team clears those and bills your insurer where we can.
Closer to the river, the suburb gets hilly. Steep driveways, tight cul-de-sacs and big riverfront homes mean we often load prestige and European cars in awkward spots. A slow, careful load matters more than speed here.
The river reserves around Chidley Point and the ocean frontage near Leighton bring weekend visitors, and with them the usual flat batteries and lockouts.
Around Mosman Park
Stirling Highway runs through the middle, with Glyde Street, Wellington Street and McCabe Street crossing it towards the river. Curtin Avenue follows the railway on the western side. To the north lie Cottesloe and Peppermint Grove, and to the south-west the highway continues into North Fremantle.
The heritage-listed Leighton Battery sits on Buckland Hill, one of the high points of the suburb. For cars that need moving without a breakdown, such as a classic or a car sold privately, our vehicle transport service covers it.
If you’re stuck in Mosman Park
- On Stirling Highway or Curtin Avenue, get into a side street if the car will still roll.
- Down by the river, give us the reserve name and the street you came in on.
- For steep driveways, tell us how the car sits and whether it’s in gear or park.
- If you’re towing a boat or trailer, mention it so we bring the right setup.
