East Perth sits between the city centre and the river, with a mix of apartments, offices, sporting venues and parks. The most common callouts are cars that won’t start in residential and office basements, and breakdowns on busy streets like Plain Street and Adelaide Terrace during peak hour. Tight access and clearways mean we need to move quickly and plan the pickup carefully.
Event days at the WACA Ground, Gloucester Park and Optus Stadium across the river add a lot of extra traffic. Flat batteries, lost keys and minor bumps in crowded car parks keep us busy. We also do plenty of vehicle transport for apartment residents moving cars in and out of the area.
East Perth roads and connections
The Graham Farmer Freeway passes through the northern part of East Perth after leaving the Northbridge Tunnel, then crosses the river towards Burswood. Plain Street and Royal Street are the main local north to south links, while Hay Street and Adelaide Terrace run west into the city. Claisebrook Cove sits on the river, and the Causeway connects East Perth with Victoria Park across Heirisson Island.
Head west and you’re quickly in the Perth CBD or Northbridge. To the north, the streets lead up towards Mount Lawley and Maylands.
