Marmion callouts: what we usually see
Marmion is a small suburb, but its coastline brings in visitors all year. Many of our jobs here start in the car parks along West Coast Drive, where people stop for a swim, a fish or a walk along the coast. Cars left there for hours can come back with flat batteries, and older cars sometimes overheat in summer traffic on the coast road.
Inland, Marmion is quiet and residential. Our jobs there are the everyday ones: cars that won’t start in a driveway, a worn clutch or an electrical fault. Marmion Avenue, along the eastern edge, is a different story, with fast traffic and busy intersections that produce the more serious incidents. For crashes we provide accident towing and can usually deal with your insurer directly.
Roads and places we cover around Marmion
West Coast Drive runs along the coast and links north to Sorrento and Hillarys Boat Harbour. Beach Road, the coastal segment on the southern boundary, turns inland towards Warwick. Marmion Avenue runs along the eastern edge, with Duncraig and Carine on the other side.
Sheppard Way leads to the Marmion Village shops and Braden Park. The streets west of Cliff Street were the first part of the suburb to be built, and most of the rest followed in the 1970s, so expect established homes, carports and kerbside parking rather than new estates.
If you’re stuck in Marmion right now
- On West Coast Drive, use a beach car park or a wide verge rather than stopping on the road.
- At the angling club or Marmion Village, note the nearest entrance.
- In a beachfront bay, tell us if there is a kerb or barrier in front of the car, since that affects how it is winched on.
