What goes wrong for drivers in Mullaloo
Most of our work in Mullaloo is tied to the beach. People park along Oceanside Promenade, leave the car sitting in the sun with the doors open or the stereo running, and come back to a battery that has given up. Keys locked in a boot after a swim, salt-crusted terminals on older cars and the odd clutch that finally fails on the slope out of the car park all turn into callouts for a simple breakdown tow.
The other side of the suburb is Marmion Avenue. It forms Mullaloo’s eastern edge and carries a steady flow between Whitfords and Joondalup, so we see nose-to-tail crashes at the traffic lights and cars that stall during peak hour. After a collision we can bill your insurer directly, which saves you sorting payment at the roadside.
Getting around Mullaloo and its neighbours
Mullaloo is a narrow coastal strip. Oceanside Promenade follows the dunes north to Ocean Reef, and Ocean Reef Road marks the northern edge before heading inland past Heathridge. Mullaloo Drive and Northshore Drive wind south towards Kallaroo and Hillarys, while Marmion Avenue runs along the eastern side with Craigie beyond it.
The streets inside the suburb are quiet, curving and mostly lined with driveways, so a tilt tray can normally load straight from the kerb. A few of the beachside blocks sit on sloping sand where we take care with low-slung cars.
Stuck in Mullaloo? Do this first
- At the beach, stay with the car in the shade if you can and keep the keys handy so the driver can steer it onto the tray.
- If you’ve stopped on Marmion Avenue, switch on your hazards and move to the footpath side, away from the turning lanes.
- Give us the closest landmark, such as the surf club, Tom Simpson Park or the cross street you’re nearest.
- Have the address of your mechanic or home ready so we can confirm the drop-off when you call.
Ring 0419 857 070 and a person will pick up, any hour.
