What brings us to Naval Base
There’s not much here in the way of houses. Naval Base is one of the traditional heavy industrial suburbs on Perth’s southern coast, sharing the Kwinana industrial strip with its neighbours. The Kwinana Bulk Terminal, run by Fremantle Ports, handles bulk cargo here, and the surrounding land holds processing, fabrication and logistics businesses.
That means our callouts are almost all commercial. We tow work utes and service vans that fail on site, move trailers and light trucks, and run container transport between Naval Base, the port at Fremantle and businesses elsewhere in Perth. The South Metropolitan TAFE campus, which trains apprentices for shipbuilding and heavy fabrication, adds student cars to the mix.
Rockingham Road carries a lot of heavy trucks through the suburb. A breakdown on it is the kind of call where getting the vehicle clear of the traffic quickly really matters.
Getting into and around Naval Base
Rockingham Road is the main road through the suburb, running north past Hope Valley and Wattleup towards Munster and Fremantle, and south into the industrial area around Kwinana. Cockburn Road comes down the coast from Henderson, which sits directly to the north. Riseley Road leads into the bulk terminal, and Hope Valley Road meets Rockingham Road among the smaller industrial lots.
Stuck in Naval Base? Start here
- Give us the exact company name and gate. Several sites share long access roads.
- Tell us if the vehicle is inside a secure area and who can let the driver in.
- On Rockingham Road, move as far from the traffic as possible and keep your hazards on.
- If it’s a heavy or loaded vehicle, share the weight and load details when you call.
With that sorted, phone 0419 857 070 for a tow.
