What brings us out to Mahogany Creek
Most people know Mahogany Creek as a stretch of Great Eastern Highway with the old Mahogany Inn beside it. That highway is also where most of our work happens. This section of road includes one of the steepest grades on the whole highway after Greenmount Hill, so we see cars and light trucks with overheated engines, slipping clutches and brakes that have had a hard time on the way down. Crashes on the grade are dealt with as accident towing, and we can bill your insurer directly.
Off the highway, Mahogany Creek is quiet, semi-rural country with larger blocks, bush and long private drives. Callouts here are usually a car or ute that won’t start at home, a vehicle that has slipped off a wet gravel driveway, or a 4WD or farm ute that needs a careful winch out after winter rain.
Roads and places we cover around Mahogany Creek
Great Eastern Highway runs through the heart of the locality and is the way most of our trucks arrive. Thomas Road links across to Glen Forrest on the western side, while Phillips Road and Seaborne Street serve the local residential and rural streets.
Head east along the highway and you soon reach Mundaring. To the north lies Parkerville, with its own mix of bush blocks and winding roads. For anything bogged on soft ground, our 4WD recovery team brings the winches and recovery gear for the job.
Broken down in Mahogany Creek right now?
- On the highway, pull fully onto the verge before you stop, even if it means rolling a little further.
- If the brakes feel soft or smell hot after the descent, don’t keep driving down the hill.
- At a rural property, open the gate and switch on an outside light at night so we can spot the entrance.
- Tell us the nearest cross road or the property number, as some driveways are set well back from the road.
Then ring 0419 857 070. We answer around the clock.
