What brings us out to Parkerville
Parkerville is a bush suburb, and our jobs here are rarely simple car park pickups. The most common call is a vehicle that’s left the driveway or road edge after rain, often sliding into a table drain or down a bank. Those need careful winching before the car can be loaded, and a light touch so we don’t tear up your garden or a neighbour’s fence line.
Semi-rural living also means plenty of 4WDs, trailers and farm-style utes. When a 4WD gets bogged on a soft track or stuck crossing a creek line, our 4WD recovery crew can handle it. If your usual mechanic is down the hill in Midland or further afield, we can transport the car there.
Finding our way around Parkerville
Great Eastern Highway runs along the southern side of the suburb, and Roland Road is one of the main local routes. Seaborne Street, Byfield Road and Richardson Road wind through the residential pockets, with the Parkerville Tavern and the old railway alignment near the heart of the original settlement.
To the south and south-west are Mundaring and Mahogany Creek, while Stoneville and Mount Helena lie to the east. Jane Brook flows west from here into John Forrest National Park, and low ground near the creek can turn boggy after heavy rain.
Stuck in Parkerville? Keep this in mind
- Don’t keep reversing up a wet gravel slope. Stop and call before the car slides further.
- If the car is near the bush in summer, switch off the engine to keep hot parts away from dry grass.
- Tell us about gates, cattle grids, horses or dogs on the property.
- If you’re on a shared driveway, warn the neighbours so the way is clear.
