Common Subiaco jobs
Subiaco mixes shopping streets, hospitals, schools and dense housing, so the calls are varied. The hospital precinct around Bagot Road and Salvado Road sees long-stay parking, and cars that have sat for a night shift sometimes won’t fire up in the morning. Along Rokeby Road and Hay Street, short-stay shoppers come back to a flat battery or a car that won’t shift out of park.
Thomas Street is the big arterial on the eastern side, and it carries heavy traffic towards Kings Park and the Nedlands hospitals. Sudden braking at the lights leads to rear-end crashes, which we look after as accident towing with your insurer billed directly.
How Subiaco’s roads connect
Hay Street runs east to West Perth and the city, while Roberts Road and Salvado Road carry traffic across the north of the suburb towards Jolimont and Wembley. Rokeby Road heads south through the shopping strip towards Kings Park. Nicholson Road runs along the southern side, near the border with Shenton Park.
The railway line splits Subiaco in two, so a car on the wrong side of the tracks can mean a longer drive around. Tell us which side of the station you’re on and we’ll plan the approach. For a car that just needs to reach a mechanic or dealer, our vehicle transport service can move it on a tilt tray.
Stuck in Subiaco? A few tips
- In a hospital car park, note the car park name and level, and whether you need to pay at a boom gate on the way out.
- On Rokeby Road or Hay Street, give us the nearest shop or cafe so the driver can spot you.
- If you’re near the station, say which side of the railway you’re parked.
- Tell us if the car is lowered or all-wheel drive so we load it the right way.
