Typical West Leederville jobs
The freeway is the biggest factor here. The Mitchell Freeway runs along the north and east of West Leederville, and stop-start peak traffic on the stretch past Leederville station brings regular breakdowns and rear-end crashes. Stopped in the left lane with nowhere to go is a stressful spot, and we handle these as breakdown towing or accident recovery depending on what’s happened.
Inside the suburb, it’s mostly character homes, units and small offices. We get calls for cars that won’t start in tight driveways, apartment basements and the short-stay bays along Cambridge Street.
West Leederville’s main roads
Cambridge Street is the spine of the suburb, running west to Wembley and east to the freeway and Leederville. Railway Parade follows the train line along the southern edge, with Subiaco on the other side. Kimberley Street and the streets around it are lined with older character houses. The Mitchell Freeway wraps around the north-east, with Lake Monger just beyond.
The local streets are narrow and many homes have no garage, so cars park on both sides. Our drivers are used to lining up carefully in these conditions.
